It was the early 1950s when Silvio Carta founded the winery of the same name in Baratili San Pietro, immediately devoting himself to the most traditional of local wine productions: Vernaccia di Oristano. An amber gold that encapsulates nobility and generosity, which, right from the start, bewitches and conquers.
The skillful vinification, long resting in barrels and the careful and loving care of Maison Silvio Carta has made this incredible wine a true glory of Sardinian enology.
Sixty years have passed since then, but Vernaccia still remains a family affair. But not only that.
After more than half a century, Silvio, together with his son Elio, the latter at the helm since 1972, are still dedicated to the production of the best Vernaccia di Oristano DOC, but thanks to a keen eye for innovation and the loving care of very deep passions, today Silvio Carta is also Mirto "riserva," London Dry Gin, Vermouth and typical spirits, distributed all over the world, as precious tastes of an ancient and flourishing land: the world, today, smells of juniper, myrtle and citrus fruits of Sardinia, thanks to Silvio Carta's signature excellence.
